Innovation
We understand our mission is to include a continuous development of alternative and more effective studies. We prefer to develop studies in cooperation with research institutions/sponsors as we have done in past years.
Studies developed in the past:
- Mesocosm studies including fate-o-cosms and bioaccumulation under outdoor conditions
- High tier studies with beneficial arthropods e.g. disappearance kinetics of pesticides for dietary risk assessment of birds and small mammals
- Endocrine disruption in aquatic organisms
Cooperation with research institutions and industry
- Doctoral research with different industry partners, namely:
- Chronic Effects of Pharmaceuticals in the Aquatic Environment (2002 – 2006),
- Hormonal activity of UV-screens in aquatic ecosystems: in vitro to in vivo prediction (2002 – 2004)
- Natural Variability of Zooplankton and Phytoplankton in Outdoor Aquatic Microcosms. Research project to improve aquatic risk assessment of pesticides (1996 – 2000)
- Several M. Sc. Theses.
